Description

BOD Sensor is an extremely reliable innovative solution for the determination of BOD, without the use of mercury.

Easy to use, fast and simple. It screws directly onto the bottle containing the sample and a pressure transducer microprocessor transfers the BOD value directly to the display (in mg / l) and automatically stored in the BOD sensor (5 measurements at 24 hour intervals, offering the possibility of making the analysis even during the weekend).
The BOD value can also be obtained directly from the display at any time, even after five days.
Measurement is available on 4 different scales - 90ppm, 250, 600 and 999 BOD.
For higher values, the measurement can be measured by diluting the sample.

The BOD Sensor System 6 is a complete package for analyzing 6 samples simultaneously, consisting of a 6-position stirring base, BOD sensors, dark glass bottles, carbon dioxide absorption caps and magnetic stir bars.
The BOD Sensor System 10 is a complete package for analyzing 10 samples simultaneously, consisting of a 10-position stirring base, BOD sensors, dark glass bottles, carbon dioxide absorption undercaps and magnetic stir bars.

The stirring base has been designed to meet the user's needs, it is comfortable, guarantees a high quality stirring and the small footprint allows to accommodate up to 5 bases of 6 positions (30 samples) or 3 of 10 positions ( 30 samples) in a VELP incubator (FOC 200E).

Determine the BOD value in 5 steps!
To better analyze the BOD values ​​with the innovative VELP Scientifica systems, based on the respirometric technique, capable of providing highly reliable results, just 5 easy and simple steps are enough:

1. Add the magnetic stir bar to the dark glass bottle, add the sample and place the CO2 trap filled with the necessary reagents
2. Incubate everything
3. Screw in the sensor
4. Monitor the activity of microorganisms
5. Read the BOD value (ppm or mg / l), based on the change in pressure inside the bottle due to the activity of microorganisms
