CHEMISTRY and PHARACEUTICAL INDUSTRY
Many processes in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry where temperature plays an important role are in the field of process engineering and reactor temperature control. At tempering processes in reactors, applications such as chemical reactions, syntheses, production of drug substances, polymerizations or crystallizations take place.
What is Temperature control of reactors?
Reactors generally have an inner vessel containing the samples which require temperature control. The inner vessel is surrounded by heat-transfer liquid, connected with the thermostat for temperature control systems. The thermostat balance the temperature of the inner vessels by continuously pumps the heat-transfer liquid, heating or cooling.
Also in this field, you can find in the Variocool models a faithfull companion or, for small spaces, the new LOOP models.
Story: Exactmer, Queen Mary University of London, wants to redefine new industrial standards for the production of polymers for pharmaceutical use.
What do they need? Cool their processes to almost zero degrees Celsius for an effective reaction.
Solution? LAUDA ECO RE 1050 G. Why? Exactmer was able to easily integrate the ECO RE 1050 into their work process and interface it with their internal control system. The LAUDA thermo-cryostat has improved laboratory safety and efficiency. Additionally, Exactmer explained that they chose LAUDA for 'excellent customer service and maintenance support'.
